“Just because other places have said marijuana is O.K doesn’t make it right, does it?”  No it doesn’t, but does ignoring scientific evidence, studies, and test from the most trusted physicians in the world and nation doesn’t make it WRONG!!  As Idahoan’s are we going to continue to say no to Marijuana because the Government told us to.  Are we going to remain blind to the life saving effects of Medical Marijuana because they tell us its bad, with no valid science behind the statement.  Are we supposed to close our eyes to the children in medical marijuana states that are being cured of incurable diseases?  To our friends suffering from a disabling cancer treatment, MS, Neuropathy caused from spine damage that are truly willing to end their life because they just can’t take it anymore.  Are we going to continue to put these people in jail for making the absolute best out of the hand they’ve been dealt.  Most of the people seeking Medical Marijuana have been told by plenty of Dr.s and Specialist that there just inst another treatment out there.  Its horribly sad to watch that happen to someone you love.  I suffer with Peripheral Neuropathy and it is the worst pain imaginable.  It is a burning fire that radiates, some days it feels as someone is branding me.  People with MS, Diabetes, spinal and nerve damage, fibromyalgia know this pain and they know that there really isn’t a medication on the market that relieves this pain let alone removes it.  My Dr. constantly has to remind me that I have to control the pain, but to control it is very tricky.  The Anti-Seizure medications prescribed for Nerve pain have severe consequences if you have a reaction to it.  You may have slight relief of your pain but you loose your mind.  I’ll keep my mind thanks.  There are Anti-Depressants that can be prescribed for pain but again they have severe consequences if you have a bad reaction to them.  If you take to many you will possibly die.  The Narcotic Pain medicine they can prescribe doesn’t necessarily help the nerve pain.  Strong enough doses will but then you have a really high risk of overdosing and dying.  These medications are also highly addictive and in the United States someone dies every 19 minutes from them.  Over half of the people in treatment for addiction are in there for narcotic pain medications and half of them are teens and young adults.  There are also numbing patches Lidoderm that I have been prescribed and these worked for me but after using them for 6 weeks they started hurting my heart which is a reaction and I can no longer use them.  Marijuana has been patented by the United States Federal Government to be an anti-inflammatory, a neuroprotectent, and to help with nausea.  Why when I have been told repeatedly that there are no available treatments for my neuropathy and the medications aren’t effective or are flat out dangerous can I not use Marijuana that cannot kill me, has minimal side effects, and has shown to help people with the same illness I have.  Oh yeah that’s right because our government told us it is bad.
